Hotel Policies

Check-in: 3:00 PM. Guests may arrive before this time, complete the check-in process, and access the hotel facilities. As soon as the room is ready, guests may access it. Early check-in may be available upon request, subject to room availability.

Check-out: 11:00 AM. Please allow enough time before your departure for housekeeping to inspect and clear your room.

Late check-out (until 2:00 PM) is available for a $40.00 fee, only with pre-approval from the Administration/Operations Department and subject to hotel availability and planning.

Penalty for unauthorized or unapproved late check-out:

• 30 minutes: $20.00
• 1 to 2 hours: $50.00
• More than 2 hours: 100% of one night's rate

Reservations: a valid credit card is required to secure the reservation. A deposit equivalent to a one-night stay may be charged at the time of booking.

Cancellation: reservations are non-refundable.

Modifications: any changes to the reservation must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

Jaco Laguna Resort & Beach Club accepts major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and cash payments in local currency (Costa Rican colones) or US dollars.

Breakfast: 7:00 – 10:00 AM. One option to choose from the established menu at the Tiki Restaurant.

Bar & Restaurant hours: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Last kitchen order must be placed by 8:30 PM.

Operating hours: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Depth: about 5.00 ft.

Please use headphones if listening to music or watching videos on electronic devices, and be considerate of other guests — avoid splashing others or engaging in disruptive activities or ball games.

Cans or glass items are not allowed in the pool area. Coolers, snacks, or food not purchased from our restaurant are not permitted; failure to comply may result in a $100.00 fine.

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside the facilities and/or rooms. All rooms and indoor areas are smoke-free; a designated smoking area is available outside the hotel premises.

Failure to comply will result in a $250.00 fine per incident, as required by Costa Rica's Ministry of Health. This fine is charged directly to the guest's account to cover cleaning and related costs.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, Jaco Laguna Resort & Beach Club does not allow pets on the premises. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Jaco Laguna Resort offers on-site parking and guests are encouraged to use it. Jaco Laguna Resort & Beach Club is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked.

The hotel is not responsible for personal belongings or valuables within the property. Guests should store their valuables in the safety deposit box provided in their room.

• Loss or misplacement of room key: $50.00
• Loss or misplacement of safe key: $100.00
• Loss or misplacement of towels or linens of any kind: $40.00
• Use of pool towels outside the pool area, or returning them with sand: $20.00

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property; charges for repairs or replacements will be added to the guest's account. The hotel also reserves the right to charge for excessive cleaning costs if the room's condition at check-out warrants it.

Lost & Found: items left behind are held for 30 days. Please contact the Front Desk if you believe you left something behind — shipping costs to return lost items are the guest's responsibility.

The establishment reserves the right of admission. Visitors may only enter the property if they have received approval from management in advance and are registered at the Front Desk.

Our hotel is firmly against the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Guests must present ID confirming their relationship to any accompanying minors, and a responsible adult must always accompany minors on the property.

Jaco Laguna Resort & Beach Club is committed to guest safety — security staff monitor the premises, and each room has a personal safe for passports, jewelry, and other valuables.

Jacó is a safe, friendly beach community, but we recommend standard precautions, especially at night: avoid walking alone in poorly lit or isolated areas after dark, and keep personal belongings secure without displaying valuables or large amounts of cash in public.

Use reliable taxi services or ride-hailing apps, especially during late hours — our Front Desk staff can help arrange safe transportation.
